Having CNY Family Gathering At Silka Cheras Hotel With Affordable Price And Delicious Menu!


Gong Xi Fa Cai! Mouse mommy and family were happy to have a feast of Chinese New Year (CNY) round table to have “Lou Sang” together with family and friends! 

In the run-up to the Chinese New Year, Silka Cheras and Silka Maytower Chef de Cuisine Lee Soon Seng (Chef Lee) has been cooking up a storm to come up with fabulous dishes and food-and-beverage offers for guests and visitors alike. Chef Lee was a humble and experience Chef in cooking.   


This year, Chef Lee lends his personal touch in preparing traditional favourites such as Braised Seafood with Crab Meat and Dried Scallop SoupDeep Fried Garoupa with Sweet and Sour Sauce and Oat Tiger Prawns.


Silka hotels offer three combinations of traditional Chinese New Year favourites to cater to an
array of taste buds in this CNY. Golden Treasures - RM 788 nett per table of 10 persons ,
Rising Phoenix - RM 988 nett per table of 10 persons and Roar of the Dragon - RM 1,088 nett
per table of 10 persons. 


The very First dish was Prosperity Toss (Salmon Yee Sang), Yee Sang is a Must in CNY for Malaysian to kick start Lunar New Year with bundles of Good Luck, Great Health and Awesome Prosperity! 


As no Chinese New Year dinner would be complete without the traditional ‘toss’ of ‘Yee Sang’ for good luck and prosperity, diners may add on Salmon ‘Yee Sang’ and choose from either a Full portion (RM88 nett per serving) or Half-portion (RM48 nett per serving). The Salmon Yee Sang is included as part of the Rising Phoenix and Roar of the Dragon menus. 


The creative design of 4 type Hot and Cold Combination was eye-catching for mouse mommy and it taste nice! Mouse mommy loves the special recipes of fish paste with mushroom. 


Braised Seafood with Beancurd Soup - generous portion with nice soup base.


Dark Soy Sauce Baked King Tiger Prawns - fresh and yummy!


Roasted Chicken with Prawn Crackers - must try this as in the roasted chicken dipped with the
special recipes powder and it taste yummy and different from the normal roasted chicken. 


Steamed Red Snapper with Soy Sauce - fresh, steam and served at the right time!
The juicy steam fish that baby MH loves to eat. 


Braised Tau Kan and Mushrooms with Broccoli was my favourite dish every year as in mouse mommy loves to eat mushroom. The dish that served was good and not salty. Suitable for baby and senior citizen. 



Seafood Fried Rice with Chicken Ham was looks simple dish, but surprisingly it taste nice. 


Deep Fried Garoupa with Sweet and Sour Sauce - crunchy and the sweet and sour sauce was nicely blend too. 


Lotus Pancake with Mochi - the lotus pancake was nice to eat together with Lotus
Seed Lily Bulb with Red Bean dessert. 


Lotus Seed Lily Bulb with Red Bean (Hot) was delicious! Red bean paste was well blend and taste smoothly. Perfectly match with the fresh lily bulb! Mouse mommy loves it so much and had taken 3 bowls of it. Highly recommended!

Three days advance booking is required for the Chinese Set Menu and ‘Yee Sang’, available
daily for lunch and dinner until 2 March 2018.


The CNY menu was delicious and suitable for elderly and family with young kids. Mouse mommy and family have a happy dining together especially baby MH, he loves it so much!
